USA & CANADA ROAD TRIP ITINERARY
We (the royal 'we': me and my coolest man Andreas) spent 2 weeks in USA between LA - San Francisco - Portland - Seattle & 1 week in Vancouver and Vancouver Island. We enjoyed a couple of days in LA with the help of a few uber rides (only picked up the car on day 3) - it’s near impossible to get enough of LA in 48h, but we squeezed in most of the ‘iconic’ attractions. DAY 1: Arrive in LA, check into hotel & head straight to Venice beach, totally jetlagged. We

A ROAD TRIP IN CORFU
I had a fantastic couple of days driving around Corfu in a MINI BMW convertible and seeing the best of the island. I'll tell you about my favourite spots to visit the island: Corfu city, the scenic northern parts of the island and the stunning Paleokastritsa bay area, the ideal place for boating. Corfu is nestled in the azure embrace of the Ionian Sea. It's a stunning Greek island that beckons travelers with unparalleled beauty, rich history, and captivating landscapes. From

A ROAD TRIP IN BULGARIA- BEST CITIES TO VISIT
Bulgaria offers a wealth of stunning landscapes, cultural heritage and vibrant coastal towns. I got a chance to explore this Eastern European country thanks to my work as I was shooting here for a Channel 4 series and it involved a lot of driving! I managed to clock nearly 4000km in 14 days. I started off in Sofia, but later on headed eastbound towards Veliko Tărnovo, followed by the coastal towns of Varna and Burgas (my faves with their easy beach lifestyle). SOFIA Sofia is

AN ALPINE PARADISE ROAD TRIP TO LAGO DI GARDA
Hidden in the northern region of Italy, Lago di Garda, is a stunning gem that captivates visitors with its natural beauty and diverse attractions. Known for its crystal-clear waters, majestic mountains and charming lakeside towns, Lake Garda has become a favoured destination for many tourists, especially Germans, Austrians and Italians. The lake's unique allure lies in its extraordinary location nestled amidst the mountains of the Italian Alps. Surrounded by towering peaks

5 BEST THINGS TO DO IN MALLORCA ON VALENTINES DAY
Just a few cool suggestions for a Valentines weekend in Mallorca. My general rule: simple does it. It's not an over-the-top Valentines, so don't expect fancy restaurants with highly choreographed special effects. It's a down to earth evening (or a few days) spent with your loved one. 1. Head to the beach for a sunset Es Trenc, Deia, Soller Port...to name a few options, but there are endless possibilities on this stunning island. Buy a few basic tapas at the local shop and si

A Coastal Road Trip around Croatia - The Best Places to Visit
Embarking on a road trip through Croatia offers an adventure filled with stunning landscapes, enchanting towns and captivating history. My journey starts around the vibrant towns of Rijeka and Rovinj in the picturesque region of Istria, then ventures past the city of Split, and culminates in the iconic city of Dubrovnik, renowned as the filming location of the legendary Game of Thrones series. RIJEKA The charming city of Rijeka is nestled on the Kvarner Bay. The city centre i

A WEEKEND ROAD TRIP TO KOS, GREECE.
I recently embarked on a short but very exciting weekend road trip around the island of Kos. It was my very first time visiting Greece. Armed with a trusty Jeep Wrangler and my usual appetite for discovery, I set out to explore the stunning beaches and hidden gems that this Greek paradise had to offer. First on my itinerary was a visit to the capital city of Kos. Stepping into the bustling streets, I was instantly captivated by the vibrant atmosphere and the remnants of ancie

ROAD TRIP AROUND FUERTEVENTURA: THE SOUTH
Corralejo - Sotavento - Cofete This is route number 2, which goes down south from Corralejo, all along the east coast of Fuerteventura. The drive south will take you around 2hours: that’s more or less how long it takes to do the whole east coast of Fuerteventura (sticking to the tarmac roads). I did a north – south – north roadtrip in one day (including sunset in Morro Jable), so it’s definitely doable in 8-10hours including food, beach stop and sunset on the way. From Corral

A ROAD TRIP AROUND FUERTEVENTURA: THE NORTH
I promised a roadtrip post about Fuerteventura a while ago so here’s part 1 of 3. Sorry for the delay: I’ve been playing way too much tennis lately and lagging behind on the driving front! I'm prepping 3 different routes and you will be able to easily mix and match all the drives (and plan your water sports experiences around it). I’ll give you hints where to get the best Instagram-worthy views and what to eat along the way. I’m based up north in Corralejo, roughly half an ho

A ROAD TRIP WEEKEND IN A FIAT 500C
I ended up with another Fiat, this time the cute & classy 500C. It's not a full convertible but 'topless' enough to dry your hair. It’s actually my second time testing the Fiat 500: I did my first ( non-topless ) drive a few years ago in Sardinia. It’s cool, much as it feels like a slightly bigger version of a Matchbox toy car (I used to play with those as a kid:). I would never see myself driving it day to day: it's just too 'delicate' for me plus the small size of the boot

FUERTEVENTURA ROAD TRIP IN A FIAT 124 SPIDER
If I could describe this car in one word: fun! It’s the perfect roadtrip car for Fuerteventura (more details on the actual roadtrip in a seperate post). It’s a joyful roadster made for a sexy, wind–in–your-hair ride. It’s a revival of the 1960s/70s model, redesigned using elements of the very popular Mazda MX-5 Miata. This car does a fantastic job if you want to add a bit of edge to your sunny roadtrip. It’s very tempting to push down the accelerator, especially in the Abarth

MONTE CARLO OR BUST RALLY : Highlights
Just some long overdue highlights from the epic Monte Carlo or Bust rally, when me and my dad managed to clock up nearly 5000km around Europe and raise nearly £500 for the Help for Heros charity. We went from Warsaw to St Quentin in France then down to Monte Carlo (via Switzerland and Italy) and back to Warsaw. All in my grandad's 1991 Toyota Corolla, which is still going strong. Enjoy!

HOW TO DRIVE IN MOROCCO: MY BEST TIPS
Throwback to November last year. It was the first big challenge-roadtrip I did when I created this site. I was also talking with my good friend Gosia the other day about doing a weekend in Marrakesh, so it motivated me to finally write what I was meaning to write a long while ago. A few ‘how to drive in Morocco’ pointers and what NOT to do when hiring a car down that neck of the woods (desert). Even though it’s been a year, I still remember all the routes very well and each

MONTE CARLO (OR BUST) RALLY: GRAPHICS IN PROGRESS
The latest on the graphics for the Toyota Corolla. I'll be heading to Poland mid-May (and then around mid-June again) to sort these out and also do a final MOT - style check of the car. Fingers crossed it will survive 4500km haha!

MONTE CARLO RALLY - PREP ON PAPER
Here you go, the next episode of the 'Monte Carlo or Bust Rally' series. My dad came over to London a few weeks go and we finally sat down to do the maths. We finally starting adding up all the kms we have to do....YIKES. Either way, we're prepping and we'll be ready for July :)

VLOG 2 - MONTE CARLO OR BUST - THE FIRST SPIN
Find out how me and my dad are getting on with the prep for the Monte Carlo or bust rally. We've been testing our car in rather extreme weather conditions... and do enjoy my dad's beautiful English accent ;)

AND THE CAR WE'RE DRIVING IS...
There's been heated discussions with my co-pilot (dad) in regards to the car we should take for the Monte Carlo or bust rally . We initially thought about getting a very cheap convertible as it does get really hot in the summer around the Mediterranean. Later on, we were wondering if we should go with a more ‘Polish’ car. Something like this... This is the FSO Polonez. Clarkson referred to this as one of the worst cars in the world and 'The Telegraph' says it should never ha

MOROCCO ROAD TRIP IN A DACIA DUSTER
The Duster is a great car. As a multi-purpose crossover it ticks a lot of boxes. BTW what’s a crossover? A small SUV, looks like a 4x4 though usually isn’t, family friendly, can but handle minor off-road adventures. Other examples include Nissan Juke, Peugeot 3008, Renault Captur or a BMW X1. We tend to think of the Duster as the cheap alternative. And it is the indeed the most affordable on the market (around £10,000 in the UK). It's certainly a very common sense option: if

MONTE CARLO HERE I COME
It’s one of the most popular banger car rallies in the world and I’m taking part in in the 2018 edition! It takes 3 days and the route starts in St.Quentin in France (just north-east of Paris) and goes via Switzerland and Italy, finishing in dazzling Monte Carlo famous for those F1 races (and 0% tax). No Ferraris on this occasion though: in order to be eligible, my car has to be worth less than £500. Source: Flicker, Here Lawford There will be a lot of driving and burning

Morocco Rally: The Final Route
Here's the revised final route. It differs a bit from the original as 2 days got completely eaten up by the Toubkal climb, so I wasn’t...
