HOW TO RUN A COMPANY: DECEMBER 2025 UPDATE

Well, above all: I managed to stay afloat.

I’m hoping for a solid year in 2026, now that I finally understand a few more of the unwritten rules of working in the UAE. Because trust me, there are many.

This year felt a bit like being thrown into a desert sandstorm armed only with an optimistic grin. But somehow, I walked out the other side with new contacts, new skills and slightly better hydration habits.

I made some great connections, attended some very cool events (the kind where you genuinely forget to take photos because you’re actually enjoying the process), and most importantly, I worked on a solid bunch of new projects. I’m still freelancing a bit as a producer/director, but I’m dipping my toes a little deeper into the world of corporate gigs and events. Honestly? It’s kind of nice when people want things done on time, high-quality and pay accordingly.

And...drumroll...I also did my first-ever presenting job. Woohoo! A massive new #likeachallenge unlocked. I only researched everything about 400 times and had a mini existential crisis about what to do with my flying hands on camera, but it all came together. It was focused on WW2 history, so a subject matter I'm genuinely interested in and have directed (not presented!) similar shows previously.

Overall, 2025 was a year of stretching limits, discovering hidden resilience, and drinking an unholy amount of coffee. I’m genuinely excited to see where 2026 takes me (preferably somewhere with good WiFi and some air-conditioning).

Watch this space for more TV & media updates. And yes, I will finally be updating you on my women-in-motorsports side hustle, because that journey deserves its own chapter. Stay tuned!
