TV & PRESENTING TALES: BEHIND THE SCENES OF #THELASTHUNT SERIES 1

I've kept it quiet for a while (well, I still am until it comes out) but here are some behind the scenes from the making of #TheLastHunt. This time - together with the amazing Guy Walters - we were tracing the stories and/or myths surrounding Nazi Gold and the possibilities of some of that stolen gold still being hidden away in far away and hard to reach places around Europe.

Apart from the fascinating travel and exploration elements, the documentary also showcases the tragic stories of people (and places) from whom the gold was stolen. I've worked on many WW2 shows (as director/producer), yet every time I'm still moved by stories from that period. And I always hope - naively, but i do hope - that nothing like that will ever take place again. Much as history sadly likes to repeat itself.

Just to finish on a positive note, I thoroughly enjoyed the road trip that we did for this 6part series (travelling in our Jeep through Germany, Poland, Czechia, Austria and Italy), visting some amazing towns and villages, while learning so much about the history of gold in Europe, and what happened to it during the war and after.

It's also my first time in front of the camera, so have mercy when you see it on telly + thank you Guy for your patience.
