HOW TO RUN A COMPANY: APRIL 2025 UPDATE
I'm now set up, and full-time working and living in Dubai. Much as beginnings are never easy (and endings are not easy either, bye bye London..). I'm in the middle of flat-hunting also. 2025 is definitely a year of big change and new opportunities. I'm excited what the future holds. It took a while to get everything organised, but fingers crossed it will all be worth it. I now run my very own (and my first ever) media production company: GOOD MEDIA PRODUCTIONS . I still do TV

HOW TO PITCH a TV SHOW: DEALING WITH FEEDBACK
If there’s one thing the creative world guarantees - besides caffeine dependency - it’s feedback. And sending a couple of ideas to a well established production company was a fresh reminder that feedback can swing anywhere between "ooh, interesting!" and "yup, that’ll never get made." I pitched two concepts: a property reality show and a women-in-motorsports documentary. And honestly? The response was medium. Not soul-crushing, not champagne-popping. I'd sum it up as OK-ish w

HOW TO RUN A COMPANY: SET UP IN UAE (Freezone)
Here's in a nutshell how I set up my company in the UAE. This is the freezone version (open to international businesses wanting a base in the Emirates, BUT effectively operating somewhat in an off-shore style - great starting point for the UAE and a popular set up among foreigners). There is also the mainland option, which is becoming more and more open towards single ownership by a foreign person (previously you needed a local Emirati partner), but I'll do a seperate post o

Taking a week off in Sardinia together with friends of Andy. Beautiful home right by the beach. Sunshine, boats, fresh breeze, blue waters. Sardinia is a true gem in Europe. Honestly, the waters are Carribean-like and it's just a couple of hours away from London or Munich. Random relationship advice: food and eating is what keeps a couple together, and of course similar values and expectations in life. But above all, loving good food and eating. The rest is negotiable.

I wished I showed my parents some more love when I was younger. On the bright side, least I've realised how special they are early enough to make up for it and cherish every moment together. The little and big things. They defo weren't perfect, possibly made a few mistakes - or simply I would have approached things differently (and i do) - but there's so many cool things about them! I always text them that I've landed or just about to depart. That is special. I've been worki

A few days full of joyful celebrations and lots of coffee. I attended my goddaughter communion. We see each other quite rarely otherwise (Zosia the little one and her mum Agata, my primary school friend). That's the sad reality of living full-time abroad. I don't think I've been the most consistent of friends in this case, but it does get tough keeping in touch regulary with everyone spread across the globe. Daily life also gets in the way and you somehow naturally grow close

NEW CHALLENGE: HOW TO MOVE TO DUBAI AND SET UP A COMPANY.
I reached a point in life where I need a new base, somewhere I can really focus on business and actually grow it. I’ve been in the UK for about 16 years (not counting my school years), and I still have a soft spot for it, but I need a fresh boost of energy. And, let’s be honest: more sunshine. A lot more. The UAE is getting a lot of attention lately for it's business friendly environment, Funny enough, I actually was brought up there (yup, I came to Dubai way before everyone

USA & CANADA ROAD TRIP ITINERARY
We (the royal 'we': me and my coolest man Andreas) spent 2 weeks in USA between LA - San Francisco - Portland - Seattle & 1 week in Vancouver and Vancouver Island. We enjoyed a couple of days in LA with the help of a few uber rides (only picked up the car on day 3) - it’s near impossible to get enough of LA in 48h, but we squeezed in most of the ‘iconic’ attractions. DAY 1: Arrive in LA, check into hotel & head straight to Venice beach, totally jetlagged. We

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY REAL MADRID AT SANTIAGO BERNABEU
#ThrowbackThursday You know how much I enjoy visiting football stadiums (and opera houses;), don't you? I thought you'd like to see a few vintage photos from my first visit ever to a stadium and live football match: it was a Champions league game at Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid back in 2003 (!). I still vividly remember that Real won 4:2 against Olympique Marseille. I was there with my parents, and with Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham playing on the field. Feels very special now, exa
