I wished I showed my parents some more love when I was younger. On the bright side, least I've realised how special they are early enough to make up for it and cherish every moment together. The little and big things.
They defo weren't perfect, possibly made a few mistakes - or simply I would have approached things differently (and i do) - but there's so many cool things about them!
I always text them that I've landed or just about to depart. That is special.
I've been working online/remotely a lot lately, which allows me to spend some more time at home. I really prefer this to shoots on location. I mean, every now and then I miss the adventure side of filming, but loving the homely vibe.
And mum takes care of me when at our family home like no one else: sorts out the bed everyday lol (how super sweet), mends my old dresses, buys sweet and thoughtful presents for my boyfriend. She isn't the totally open, approachable, huggable mum (though she is learning), but she shows love through actions. I appreciate it.
Totally off topic, I love those travel souvenirs in the shape of a glass round ball, with the 'flying, glistening ' bits inside. Hated them when i was younger, thought they were cheap and cheesy. I find them magical now.
