I wished I showed my mum more love when I was younger. At least I've realised how special she is (and my dad) early enough to make up for it and cherish every moment together. The little and big things.
They were defo not the perfect perfects and made a lot of mistakes. Or simply I would have approached things differently (and i do). But there's so many cool things about them.
I always text them that I've landed or just about to depart. That is so special!!!
I've been working online a lot lately, allows me to spend some more time at home. I really prefer this to shoots on location. I mean, every now and then I miss the adventure side of filming, but loving the homely vibe.
And mum takes care of me like no one else: sorts out the bed everyday (how super sweet), mends my old dresses, buys sweet and thoughtful presents for my boyfriend. She isn't the totally open, approachable, huggable mum (though she is learning!), but she shows love through actions. I appreciate it.
Totally off topic, I love those travel souvenirs in the shape of a glass round ball, with the 'flying, glistening ' bits inside. Hated them when i was younger, thought they were cheap and cheesy. I find them magical now.
