Finding the right niche and actually making proper use of ones skills isn’t easy. It’s one of those things that sounds simple until you’re in the middle of it.
I’ve got two main things brewing: TV work (broadcast & corporate) and an idea for a media / merchandise project that will raise the profile of women in motorsports. Very early stages.
What I’ve learned so far:
Pick the right place: Dubai felt like the right base for me (if you haven’t already, check out my company setup notes in the HOW TO RUN A COMPANY section, it gives you the practical side of getting things rolling)
Have a plan: write a proper business plan, know what you want to do, and update it as and when needed. Yup, speak to ChatGPT or similar if needed!
Stay flexible: if something doesn’t work, pivot.
Don’t over-stress: it’s a company, not your whole life. Also ask for help when you need it.
Take breaks: enjoy...walks on the beach and the pool (yes, I do it everyday Dubai).
Choose your people: surround yourself with the right team and positive vibes.
Start small, grow big: take it step by step.
Short, steady progress beats frantic leaps. Keep the vision, but focus on the next small win.
