Dubai offers a plethora of attractions for those seeking an unforgettable experience - here are some of the main attractions that I think are perfect for a first time visit.
1. Burj Khalifa: start your journey with a visit to this iconic tower, the tallest building in the world. Take a high-speed elevator to the observation deck on the 148th floor and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the cityscape, especially during sunset.

2. Dubai Marina Dinner Cruise: embark on a dinner cruise along the Marina, gliding past impressive skyscrapers and enjoying stunning views of the city's illuminated skyline (or hire a private boat for a 2-3 hour boat tour of the city - we found one for 400dirham, around 100 euro)

3. Desert Safari: escape the city and embark on a desert safari adventure riding across the golden sand dunes in a 4x4 vehicle (or if you are brave, go for the buggy experience). As a bonus they can offer sandboarding and camel riding, and an evening with a traditional Arabian dinner under the stars.

4. The Dubai Fountain: witness the mesmerizing water, music, and light spectacle of the Dubai Fountain, located just outside the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall.
5. Dubai Miracle Garden: step into a world of vibrant colors and breathtaking floral displays at the Dubai Miracle Garden. With over 50 million blooming flowers arranged in stunning patterns and shapes, this botanical paradise is a nice spot for a leisurely walk and stunning photographs.
6. Madinat Jumeirah: explore the picturesque Madinat Jumeirah showcasing traditional Arabian architecture and visit its charming souks or enjoy a dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants.
7. Jumeirah Beach: relax and unwind at Jumeirah Beach, where turquoise waters and soft white sands create the perfect holiday vibes. Lounge on sunbeds, take a dip in the sea, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Burj Al Arab, one of Dubai's most iconic landmarks. For extreme sports and more food options, head to nearby Kite Beach (if you don't fancy walking, take a scooter).

8. Dubai Opera: experience the world of performing arts at the Dubai Opera, an architectural marvel located in Downtown Dubai. Catch a live musical performance, ballet or opera with your family or friends, and immerse yourselves in the enchanting ambiance of this cultural hub.
9. Dubai Creek: take an abra ride along the historic Dubai Creek, a saltwater inlet that divides the city into its traditional districts of Bur Dubai and Deira. Marvel at the contrast between the old and new architecture and soak in the nostalgic charm of the city's heritage. It's a 'new/modernised' version of the old Dubai, but still worth it. Also I recommend visiting the nearby Gold and Spice souk.
10. The Palm Jumeirah: indulge in some luxury near the famous Palm Jumeirah, an artificial island in the shape of a palm tree. I recommend a high top pool to savor the view and enjoy exquisite cuisine at one of the waterfront restaurants.
